Weather-Related Closings

Just like other businesses you depend on, we will be open as much as possible, ready to serve your family, unless travel poses a high risk to our families and staff.

If the studio needs to close for inclement weather or road conditions, closures will be announced by 8:30 am for morning classes and 2:00 pm for evening classes. Cancellations may be announced later if conditions worsen.

Closings typically occur in cases of extreme conditions such as dense fog, a blizzard, ice accumulation, winds over 45 mph, or wind chill temperatures colder than -20 degrees Farenheight.

Pure Dance Works does not follow the area school systems for closings.

Closures are announced in the following ways:

• This page will be updated with a notice at the top of the page
   
• An email will be sent to all families enrolled in affected classes
   
• A text notification will be sent to all families enrolled in affected classes*
   
• The closing will be listed on WANE-TV and posted on WANE.COM/closings

*You must opt in to receive text notifications. Log in to your Pure Dance Work account, click the “Preferences” tab, and select “Yes” to “Would you like to receive reminders, class notifications, and announcements via SMS text messages?"

Students in affected classes are granted an additional free make-up class when the studio cancels classes due to weather.

If at any time the studio is open but you feel it is not safe for your family to travel to class, you may mark your child absent HERE.
