Make-Up Scheduler

How To Schedule A Make-Up Class

Students are eligible for nine (9) free make-up classes per calendar year.

Students may make-up an absence by attending another weekly class as similar to the student's class as possible.

If the studio is closed due to weather or a one-day holiday, students in that class will gain one additional make-up class.

Cancel 24 hours prior if your child will not be able to attend a scheduled make-up class.

Due to space limitations, scheduled make-up classes that are not canceled and not attended will count towards a student's allotted make-up classes. See the next page to cancel a scheduled make-up class.

Make-up in the same level or one level lower

Making up at a higher level is not ideal for the student or the class. However, if this is your only option, you may consult the office, and an exception may be made.

Make-up classes are usually optional but sometimes required.

Occasional absences in January, February, March, April, July, August, September, & October are not a big deal.

Teachers may require make-up classes or private lessons in November, December, May, & June to prepare students for performances fully.

Excessive absences at any time may require make-ups or private lessons to maintain expected progress and level up the following season.

Make-up spots are first-come, first-served, and are not guaranteed.

A limited number of make-up spots are available in each class to ensure a positive learning environment and individual attention.

Schedule a make-up in the same month as the missed class if possible.

Make-ups expire one month after the last class of the season.

Students must be currently enrolled to take a make-up class.

Students may take make-ups prior to a planned absence.

Make-up in the same style class when possible.

If a make-up option in the same style does not exist, or the student cannot attend the alternate class, a make-up in a different dance style is allowed. Please consult the office for help with selecting the best choice for your dancer.

What if making-up in an existing class is not possible?
Suppose no suitable opportunity for a make-up in another class is possible. In that case, private make-up classes may be scheduled at an additional cost. Private make-up classes are based on teacher and studio availability.

How do make-up classes affect a student's attendance record?
Made-up classes will remove an absence from the student's attendance record.

You can read the complete make-up policies in the Enrollment Agreement.
