Ballet Summer Intensive For Ripple 4+ Ballet
Required for students who have completed Ripple 5 & Grad Collab Ballet.
Open to students who have completed Ripple 4 Ballet or higher during the '25-'26 Season.
The Ballet Summer Intensive promises serious personal progress for pre-pointe and pointe students.
Best for dancers ready to accelerate their ballet progress through focused, immersive training.
Ballet intensives produce accelerated progress because training happens in a focused, uninterrupted block of time. With 26½ hours of instruction in one week, dancers receive the equivalent of more than six weeks of regular classes, allowing technique, strength, and corrections to build day after day instead of resetting each week.
This consistent daily training creates stronger muscle memory, improved alignment, and faster technical clarity. Dancers don’t just learn more—they retain more—because concepts have time to settle into the body and develop naturally through repetition and reinforcement.
To ensure this progress isn’t lost, dancers who attend the June Ballet Intensive also continue with a weekly ballet class in July. This combination protects turnout, strength, and muscle memory so dancers return in the fall stronger, more confident, and ready for the next level of training.

Dancers must be 5 years old by October 1 to enroll in Sparkle 5 Ballet.

In Sparkle 5 Ballet, dancers learn primary-ballet skills and are never pushed beyond safe physical limits.
Increased muscle strength and control mean that they work turned out a majority of the time, learn more complex arm positions, and enjoy learning more intricate formations than pre-ballet classes. Primary ballet skills help increase balance, agility, and gross motor development.
Teachers trained and certified in the proven Leap 'N Learn method intentionally nurture the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of a typical five-year-old in every class using professionally designed, developmental- and education-based lesson plans.
Students develop confidence as they learn essential social skills in a supportive environment.
Sparkle students can earn the title of Star Student when they show respect for and cooperate with the teacher, their friends, and the studio using their Dancer Manners.
Etiquette is a universal ballet concept that has lovely implications when applied to all areas of a dancer's life.
Sparkle 5 Ballet students develop a knowledge and understanding of French terminology.
Teachers will begin to drop the English words associated with French terms as students are more able to recall the correct terms without the association.
For example, sometimes the teacher will say, “flamingo passé” and sometimes she’ll just say “passé.”
Emotional awareness is developed through specific activities designed to help children identify and express various emotions in a safe, stress-free environment.
According to Dr. Annie Spell, Ph.D. and co-author of the Leap 'N Learn curriculum used in Sparkle Ballet, this is an essential skill for healthy emotional development.
Understanding what emotions are, that everyone has them, and that it's ok to express them helps children strengthen their emotional intelligence.
Musical awareness advances in the primary ballet levels as students may be able to start on the count of "1" independently, can count and clap more complex rhythms, and demonstrate a greater ability to execute steps in time with the music.
The use of props such as different-sized soft pumpkins fosters creativity and artistry.
Props provide a deeper understanding and incorporation of movement concepts presented in class, such as level.
Sure, you can leap across the floor low, medium and high over nothing, but having three different sized pumpkins to leap over produces much more noticeable results.
Weekly coloring sheets display a key component of the day’s lesson plan, such as “Tendu à La Seconde.”
They are a perfect conversation starters that give parents the opportunity to further facilitate their child's understanding and retention of class content.

Sparkle 6 Ballet
Dancers must be 6 years old by October 1 to enroll in Sparkle 6 Ballet.
Your child will soar in Sparkle 6 Ballet as they gracefully learn to convey captivating stories through primary ballet technique and classical ballet pantomime.

The pretend-play aspect of Sparkle 6 Ballet both engages students and serves as a discovery of ballet’s rich culture, in which many classic performances are stories told through dance and pantomime.
The primary ballet technique introduced in Sparkle 5 Ballet is performed with greater proficiency in Sparkle 6 Ballet. Dancers are never pushed beyond safe physical limits.

As students progress through the primary levels, teachers increasingly drop the English words associated with French terms.

They are discussed and expressed frequently in class, and emotional awareness is developed through specific activities designed to help children identify and express various emotions in a safe, stress-free environment.

Students must be 5 or 6 years old by October 1 to enroll in Sparkle Tap.
Your child will be thrilled with their very own tap shoes. There are few joys in life like making music with your feet!
Because five and six-year-olds easily relate to the world of pretend play, technique is often introduced through imaginative storylines.
Sparkle Tappers often enjoy “planting a garden” as the warm-up portion of their class. From toe-tapping seeds into the ground to pretending to be a Silly Sally Caterpillar crawling through the garden to heel digging up their crops, there’s not much a pair of tap shoes can’t become!
Teachers trained and certified in the proven Leap 'N Learn method intentionally nurture the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of typical five- and six-year-olds in every class using professionally designed, developmentally- and education-based lesson plans.
- Physically, tapping improves balance, agility, and gross motor development. Students learn primary tap technique, including a wide variety of compound steps that they will continue to build on in later years.
- Socially, Dancer Manners are an essential part of Sparkle Tap. Dancers are recognized as Star Students when they show respect to others by taking turns, keeping quiet when necessary (including tap shoes!), and listening to and following directions.
- Emotional awareness is developed through Improvisation, a fundamental tap skill. Improvisation games based on imaginative storylines help students let loose and get creative with their tapping. "Tapping" into emotions as a vehicle for improv games enhances children's ability to identify and express emotions. This is a vital part of developing emotional intelligence.
- Cognitive benefits of tap include building memorization and recall abilities. Tappers have to think fast as they remember, recall, and execute specific patterns that make up each step. Tap steps move fast, so the brain has to be a couple of steps ahead at all times. Learning the names of steps is another brain-building activity. Plus, kids often get a kick out of the names of a step. Silly Sally and Perididdle are two favorites.
Musical awareness is an essential tap concept. Tap is all about creating rhythms with our feet! Students learn to start dancing on the count of "1," how to count, clap, and tap basic rhythms, and begin to demonstrate an understanding and ability to execute steps in time with the music.
The use of engaging props fosters musicality and movement concepts.
Students may wear old tap shoes on their hands and “clap” and tap the floor with them to various rhythms.
Props such as ribbon rings also provide a deeper understanding and incorporation of movement concepts presented in class, such as tempo. Students can demonstrate, visualize, and feel tempo as they move ribbon rings adagio (slow), moderate (medium), or allegro (fast).
Weekly coloring sheets display a central component of the day’s lesson plan, such as “Toe Taps.”
They are a perfect conversation starter that allows parents to further facilitate their child's understanding and retention of class content.

This allows students ages 10 and older to take class with students closer to their age while ensuring that they have a foundational understanding of the style and one-on-one coaching in the basics to get them up to speed with their classmates.
Catch-up lessons consist of 1-3 students depending on the logistics. The total cost of each lesson is at the current private lesson rate, while the individual cost is shared between the students if more than one student is registered. Missed lessons cannot be refunded and must be made up at an additional cost.
