FAQ’s For Performance Dates

Q: Why not just have everyone come to one show?

A: There are a couple of reasons:

  1. Having multiple performances keeps shows to an enjoyable length for everyone. No one ever sat through a performance over 2 hours long and said, “Gee, I wish there were more!”

  2. Due to the number of audience members expected, we must hold two shows in order to provide enough seating to accommodate everyone who wants to attend.

Q: Why does my child (or children) appear in opposite performances?

A: It is simply logistically impossible to place every student and every sibling group in the same performance.

Positive points to consider:

  • Siblings in opposite shows will LOVE getting to be an audience member so that they can watch their sibling(s) perform. Watching the performing arts is an important part of an arts education, so this is a plus for your child.

  • Families with multiple shows will receive 50% off their tickets to one of the shows. Please see ticketing site for details.

  • Each show is only around one hour long, so rehearsals and performances are short and sweet (you’re welcome, Dad). Everyone can get to bed at a reasonable hour.

  • Every family will receive a video file of the performance. If some friends and family can’t make both shows, it will be fun to host a viewing party in your child’s honor.
